Dr. Barzyk graduated from the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2003 and after nearly 10 years in private restorative dental practice, he enrolled at Medical University of South Carolina where he earned his Masters in Periodontics certificate in 2015. In 2017, he achieved the status of Diplomate by successfully passing a rigorous written and oral examination administered by the American Board of Periodontics.
Dr. Barzyk has experienced many aspects of dental treatment personally. He was called to the profession to help others have good dental experiences in their own time of need. Dr. Barzyk believes that an ounce of prevention will truly save you a pound of tooth pain. Unfortunately, he does see a lot of patients that come to the office who might otherwise have been able to save their tooth earlier on with a more economical restoration/filling, but instead dental fear paralyzed them until the tooth pain compelled them to seek out emergency care. He hopes to change that perspective for the good.
Dr. Barzyk grew up in a suburb of Baltimore, MD and moved to Florida with his family in 1993. He has been happily married to his wife for 12 years and counting, and has three daughters and a son all under the age of 10.
